The concept of massage originated in India and dates back to over two thousand five hundred years ago. The teachings in the school founded by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha were propagated by Buddhist monks who used massage for therapy and health. Ayurvedic medicine or traditional Thai massage (called Nuad Bo’ Rarn) shares these same origins. Traditional Thai medicine is based on four elements: nutrition, medicinal herbs, meditation & spirituality and massage.
Even to this day, Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha is still considered to be the father of medicine in Thailand. Massage is therefore a true medical culture in Thailand and some of the different derivations are better known in Europe by names such as pressotherapy, reflexology, vavuomobilisation or lymphatic drainage, chiropractice, digitopuncture. Nakao resort offers you a daily massage that will restore harmony to the seventy thousand energy vectors in your body.
